Heritage Pointe of Teaneck Honors 18 Resident Veterans
Ceremony, Video Presentation Highlight Seniors’ War Stories
TEANECK, N.J., Nov. 12, 2010 – Heritage Pointe of Teaneck residents and staff gathered to honor the community’s 18 Veterans during a special Veterans Day ceremony. This fall, Envision Video Services of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J., interviewed and filmed six of the resident Veterans about their time in the Armed Forces.
A 20-minute compilation video highlighted residents’ war stories and was the key feature of the program. Heritage Pointe Veterans received corsages and recounted stories about their time in the service. The Veterans also received a complimentary copy of their one-on-one interviews.
Heritage Pointe residents (standing, L-R) Nance Abdoo and Bill Rini, (seated, L-R) Ed Weisberger, Nat Namerow, Albert Guidone, and Herbert Schnapp were among the group of Veterans honored at the ceremony.
“Our resident Veterans were so honored to be interviewed and loved relaying their stories,” stated Donna Zayat, Executive Director at Heritage Pointe. “We’re very thankful to Envision for preserving our residents’ first-hand account of U.S. history.”
