Heritage Pointe of Teaneck Resident Reels in "The Big One" on Canadian Fishing Trip

Bill Rini Responds to the Lure of Adventure, Catches Trophies and Plenty of R&R

TEANECK, N.J., August 26, 2010 – Avid sport fisherman Bill Rini, a resident at Heritage Pointe of Teaneck, reeled in some big fish during a relaxing vacation with his daughter at the exclusive Scott Lake Lodge in northern Canada. The Lodge is situated on an island in the scenic Canadian wilderness, on the border of the Northwest Territories and Saskatchewan.

“It’s 300 miles from the nearest paved road, accessible only by float plane,” noted Rini of his favorite summer vacation destination. A lifelong angler, Rini has written and published a book, which he shared last year with fellow Heritage Pointe residents, called Fish Tales – a compilation of his fishing stories from his boyhood to recent years. At Scott Lake he caught five trophy fish, including this 30-lb. lake trout. “At 30 lbs. and over 43 inches long, this is one of the biggest fish there,” he explained.

Rini enjoys semi-annual fishing trips to Canada in July and Costa Rica in January, but also finds time to participate in many of the activities at Heritage Pointe, a full-service rental community for active retirees. In addition to the Poker Club and trips into nearby Manhattan, he is the trail guide for the Teaneck Trailblazers of Heritage Pointe, a walking group that hikes the trails of the adjacent Teaneck Creek Conservancy. Helping Rini (left) show off his catch is guide Curtis Woloshyn from Scott Lake Lodge.
