A full service retirement community

for today's mature adults

Osteoporosis prevention session, at Heritage Pointe

Heritage Pointe of Teaneck, a full-service retirement community, recently hosted Dr. Jayson Baynes from Active Joints Orthopedics in Englewood as he presented a session on “Preventing Osteoporosis.”  A bone disease common among the elderly, osteoporosis can cause fractures to occur during even routine movements, like bending and coughing.

Baynes’ talk – with an overall goal of keeping Heritage Pointe residents healthy and active – is part of an ongoing series of fitness and wellness sessions at the retirement community. Others held recently have focused on yoga, stretch-and-tone, and Zumba.
