Residents Offer Postive Feedback in Survey At Heritage Pointe of Teaneck
High Resident Satisfaction Correlates with Influx of New Rentals
TEANECK, N.J., Sept. 15, 2010 – Heritage Pointe of Teaneck, a full-service rental community for active retirees, received positive feedback from a recent resident satisfaction survey, announced Donna Zayat, executive director at Heritage Pointe of Teaneck. The community asked residents to rate the services and amenities available to help establish what residents enjoy most about the Heritage Pointe lifestyle.
At the same time, the community has witnessed an uptick in new rentals and security deposits. Occupancy has doubled since last year, with firm commitments for nearly all one-bedroom apartments. Located adjacent to the 46-acre Teaneck Creek Conservancy woodlands, Heritage Pointe offers many spacious one- and two-bedroom layouts.
“The positive results of the resident satisfaction survey across all areas of community life strongly correlate with the high referral rate and the number of active retirees moving to Heritage Pointe,” reported Saundra Pomerantz, director of community relations. “Friends who visit like what they see, and residents actively promote Heritage Pointe to the people close to them,” she added. The referrals also build on the family feeling at the community, where residents are forming new friendships as well as discovering and renewing old connections.
The survey rated residents’ opinions on the many services offered at Heritage Pointe, including the activities available both on and off site. 85% of respondents noted that they agree that the community offers a variety of quality programs; the majority also indicated satisfaction in the response to their requests and suggestions. The residents commended the beautiful surroundings, both inside and outside, as well as the programs, which include educational seminars, cultural outings, wellness classes and leisure clubs that reflect the residents’ eclectic interests.
24-Hour Concierge and Transportation Caters to Residents
The accessibility, courtesy and helpfulness of key staff received high marks, and respondents noted that they are encouraged to actively participate in community life.
The concierge staff received an especially high rating of 4.8 out of 5; 97% of the respondents “strongly agree” the concierge desk is an important resource for them to obtain general and local community information. The survey also revealed the employees meet residents’ needs very well.
“The concierge is the first person anyone sees upon entering Heritage Pointe; the personnel make a point of greeting each resident and creating a welcoming, gracious atmosphere,” said Pomerantz. “Our residents rely on the concierge to arrange appointments or transportation, make recommendations for area shopping and dining, and to hold packages and deliveries for them when they are away on vacation or for the day.”
The transportation staff also received high ratings from residents, scoring 4.5 out of 5. Residents expressed satisfaction in the courtesy of drivers, safety and timeliness of service, and the well-maintained vehicles. Heritage Pointe offers residents free local car service to get to appointments or go shopping when needed.

Residents at Heritage Pointe of Teaneck gather to enjoy a delicious meal in the community’s elegant dining room. A recent resident survey revealed that dining is a part of the lifestyle that residents rated highly.
