Teaneck residents celebrate Sukkot

At Heritage Pointe of Teaneck, a full-service retirement community, residents recently celebrated the Jewish holiday of Sukkot by enjoying a traditional meal inside a sukkah. A tent-like structure, the sukkah is intended as a reminder of the Israelites’ dwellings during the 40 years they wandered in the desert after escaping bondage in Egypt. The Heritage Pointe residents’ Sukkot celebration also included a prayer service.
